We love our candles as much as you! 

The candles are both new and old super decorative and with a few simple tricks you can also conjure up great new products from your old candle glasses!

Therefore, we will give you some tips on how you can use your favorite candle even without wax.

The glasses of our popular 3- wick candles are ideal as a storage container for a wide variety of things: whether cotton swabs, piercings, hair clamps or cotton pads. In the kitchen, too, the glasses can be used perfectly for sugar, candies or rubber bands.

If you can get along with a little less space, our 1-Docht candlestick glasses with their firmly lockable lids are also perfect for new storage options!

How you can give new life in 4 steps in your old candle glasses

1. Remove wax residues

To remove the old wax residues from the candle glasses, you can simply fill hot water into your sink and put the candle glasses in here up to half. You should make sure to start with warm water and then slowly fill it with hot water so that the glasses do not burst. 

After a few minutes you can now carefully remove the glasses and try with a blunt knife to simply loosen the wax from the edge of the glasses. This should now be easily detachable and removable and fall out in pieces. If you are lucky you can even take the wax out in a row.

Since the warm wax can inject and thereby leave stains on your clothing, we advise you to put on something old or an apron. 

Then you can remove the liquid wax residues with a kitchen towel from the candle glass. 

Danger: Liquid wax becomes tight again when it gets cold! Be sure to make sure not to tip it into the cast or the toilet, otherwise the pipes are clogged. 

2. Rinse glasses and lids

Then you should clean the glasses with warm water and detergent as properly as possible so that there are no more wax residues. You can also clean the lids if necessary.

3. Remove glue

At this point, most glue will probably have dropped by the warm water on its own. If you still have leftovers on the glasses, try to soak in warm water or remove them with a little oil or nail polish remover. Please be careful with chemicals here: otherwise the coating can replace the coated glasses! 

You can easily remove the remaining adhesive residues with a sponge or a steel sponge (only if the glasses are not coated!)

4. dry and upcycles!

After your glasses have dried and ventilated, you can decorate them, stick, paint, spray them with paint spray or use them directly without decoration.

Acrylic paints are best suited for waterproof decorations, but normal nail polish can also be used to beautify. 

Tip for decorating: For paintings such as flower tendrils or pictures, you can draw your motif on a paper and then place in the inside of the glass. So you can easily paint the outside of the glass!

In the bathroom

Stew your everyday helpers such as cotton swabs, cotton pads, hair clips, hair ties or your jewelry such as earrings or rings in your new glasses.

In the kitchen

The candle glasses are also ideal for ingredients such as sugar, salt or rice. You can also label them with a glass -resistant pen as required. Other kitchen objects such as rubber bands or coffee pads can also be kept here.

For a little more green in the home

The clean candle glasses are also perfect for your new favorite plants or offshoots. Simply plant with or without an interior pot and you're done. With a little wire or hangable pot owners you can even hang the potty on the wall or ceiling in your home!

New relaxation through new candles or wax

If you stick the glasses with a transparent film or decorated with nail polish, pins or paint paint, they are also great as new candle glasses: simply a conventional tealight and the "new" candle is ready.
